Hi, I’m Cameron!

Wife to a Fireman | Mother of Two | Believer | Certified Birth Doula

If you’ve spent any time around me, you know my core belief about birth:

Every birth tells two stories:
A baby is born & a mother is made.

That is the heart behind Mother, Made.

That is my heart.

For as long as I can remember, I have felt called to motherhood, & I simply believed that meant becoming a mom myself. While mothering my two daughters is everything I dreamed of & more, it wasn’t until I experienced birth firsthand that I realized that calling extended far beyond my own family, & I am so thankful it does.

My first birth was difficult. It brought me one of the greatest gifts I’ve ever known, & it also left me carrying parts of the experience that took time to process & heal from. My second birth was beautifully redemptive.

Those experiences both transformed me.

Walking through two very different births showed me something I’ll never forget:

Birth has the power to shape us in ways that stay with us long after the day our babies are born.

Motherhood became the lens through which I see the world. I found myself noticing mothers everywhere - their strength, their sacrifices, their fears, their joy, & the incredible depth of all they carry. I realized just how intentionally mothers deserve to be supported, cared for, & reminded that they matter, too.

That realization is what led me here.

The Mother, Made Philosophy

Birth is deeply personal and extends beyond simply a medical event; it is one of the most transformative experiences of a woman’s life.

Every family deserves evidence-based education, compassionate support, & the freedom to make informed decisions that feel aligned with them.

Partners are an essential part of birth & one of my greatest joys is helping them feel confident & involved.

Your medical team deserves your trust & respect; my goal is not to replace them, it is to support you alongside them. I will help you proactively research & understand your options, ask thoughtful questions, & feel seen between the critical moments.

There isn’t one “right” way to give birth. Whether your story includes an unmedicated birth, a scheduled cesarean birth, or anything in between, my hope is that you feel informed, respected, & confident that your decisions reflected what was best for you & your family.

“Healthy mom, healthy baby” is the bare minimum goal.

With the right team, education, & advocacy, a redemptive experience for those with previous birth trauma is possible.

A positive birth experience isn’t defined by a lack of complications or following your dream birth plan perfectly. It’s defined by whether you felt respected, informed with the ability to advocate for yourself, & like you had a team around you who cared deeply about both you & your baby.

Your body & mind carry intricate details from birth for decades to come. These memories are woven into your story as a mother.

More than anything, I believe your experience matters; I want you to believe that, too.

My Promise to You

I can’t promise you…
a certain kind of birth.
that labor will go exactly as hoped.
that every decision will feel easy.
every moment will unfold exactly as imagined.

But I can promise you this:
You will be seen.
You will be heard.
You will be informed,
You will be supported without judgement.
You will never walk through birth alone.

I will help you understand your options, encourage you to trust your instincts, & remind you of your strength when you need it most.

I will honor & protect the sacred space that you are in when bringing new life into the world.

This isn’t only your baby’s birth story; it’s yours, too.
